Hobgoblins 2 is a 2009 direct-to-DVD sequel to the 1988 science fiction film, Hobgoblins. Written and directed by Rick Sloane, the film was released on DVD by Shout! Factory on June 23, 2009. The sequel is intended to look identical to the original film, and was created using 35 mm film and composite effects, look-a-like actors, some of the same costumes and the same puppets.

Plot: The film takes place after the original film, where McCreedy has been locked in a psychiatric hospital after blowing up the film studio because of the Hobgoblins, which occurred at the end the first film. Kevin and his friends are now in college, and their Professor introduces them to McCreedy, who warns them that it is still possible to be attacked by Hobgoblins. Despite McCreedy's warning, Kevin and his friends re-encounter the Hobgoblins and must fight against them to save their lives.

Gallo also painted all of the oil paintings in this movie, having "cleaned out his whole garage" of his paintings. The paintings that Johnie (Trevor Morgan) showed to Seroff (Armin Mueller-Stahl) when asking him for advice in the beginning of the movie, were the exact paintings he showed to the person off whom the Seroff character was based.

Plot: A successful artist looks back with loving memories on the summer of his defining year, 1974. A talented, but troubled eighteen year old art student befriends an elderly alcoholic genius painter who has turned his back on not only art, but life. The two form, what appears to be at first a tenuous relationship. The kid wants to learn all the secrets the master has locked away inside his head and heart. Time has not been kind to the old master. His life appears pointless to him until the kid rekindles his interest in his work and ultimately gives him the will to live. Together, they give one another a priceless gift. The kid learns to see the world through the master's eyes. And the master learns to see life through the eyes of innocence again. The gang meet Daphne’s friend Miyumi, who explains the difficulty of winning the tournament and entering the school as a student. The gang and Miyumi take a fully functioning robotic plane to the school, which is run by Miss Mirimoto. After Daphne defeats Miss Mirimoto’s bodyguard, Sojo, and almost defeats Miyumi, Mirimoto tells her she shows promise as a fighter.

Prayers for Bobby (2009) is a television movie that premiered on the Lifetime network on January 24, 2009. A Once Upon A Times Films in association with Permut Presentations and Sladek Taaffe Films production, the film is based on the book, Prayers for Bobby: A Mother's Coming to Terms with the Suicide of Her Gay Son, by Leroy F. Aarons, which is itself based on the true story of the life and legacy of Bobby Griffith, a young gay man who killed himself due to his mother's and community's religious intolerance.

Plot: In Prayers for Bobby, Mary Griffith is a devout Christian who raises her children with the conservative teachings of the Presbyterian Church. However, when her son Bobby confides to his older brother he may be gay, life changes for the entire family after Mary learns about his secret. While Bobby's father and siblings slowly come to terms with his homosexuality, Mary believes God can cure him of what she considers his 'sin' and persuades Bobby to pray harder and seek solace in church activities in hopes of changing him. Desperate for his mother's approval, Bobby does what is asked of him, but through it all, the church's apparent disapproval of homosexuality causes him to grow increasingly withdrawn and depressed.

The Meerkats is a feature length 2008 British nature documentary film which reveals the daily struggles of a clan of meerkats in the Kalahari Desert. It was produced by BBC Films and the The Weinstein Company, and filmed by the award-winning BBC Natural History Unit. It is the debut directorial feature of James Honeyborne, previously a producer of natural history programmes for television. The film is expected to be released internationally in 2009.

Production: The Meerkats was announced in November 2006 as BBC Films and The Weinstein Company agreed a co-financing deal for the film, with The Weinstein Company also handling international distribution. The year-long principal photography began on location in the Kalahari Desert, South Africa in the same month. It became the Natural History Unit's first feature based on original material, and followed the successes of Earth (2007) and Deep Blue (2003) which were both adaptations of its own television series. The script was written by Alexander McCall Smith, author of many books set in Botswana. Paul Newman provides the narration, which was recorded at a studio near his home shortly before his death from cancer. The Meerkats is believed to be one of the last film credits of his long career.

Plot: The film revolves around four gay teenagers: curious Andy, flamboyant Nico, jock Jarod, and geeky Griff. These four boys want to have sex, but can't find anyone to do it with. It's their graduation day and their lesbian friend Muffler's having her graduation party. The next morning, the boys make the pact to have sex before the end of the summer.
